striped corduroy jumper (scrappy love)

by andrea on November 21, 2008

This jumper is close to my heart, because it seemed to make itself. Sometimes I just channel the great creative force which needs so badly to speak. This is one such case.

The striped corduroy fabric was scraps from another skirt I made, used in their entirety. They just fit magically together! I filled in the blanks with a tan parquet suede fabric, the seams of which I topstitched, and added the white denim contrast (leftovers from a pant hem) at the bottom, to make sure everything that needed to be was covered. This dress can be worn alone in the summertime or over pants and a shirt in the chillier weather. All around cute!
