herringbone ying yang dress

by andrea on November 23, 2008

This dress has an asymmetrical band around the middle in which the fabric is cut opposite grain. I find this makes the middle feel more structured. It is made from a herringbone (not very stretchy) knit fabric and has a keyhole front tie, which would show some breast if worn without a shirt underneath. The white contrast fabric is a heavier drapey fabric which swings nicely beside the more structured body of the dress. I would describe this design as organic.
