This was such a sweet project. I did it a couple years ago for my sister’s friends, Jaime and Jenny. They are such a nice couple who are very into Metallica. Their first dance at their wedding was to a Metallica song.
Jaime had a ton of old Metallica t-shirts that he couldn’t wear anymore, but could not give up. The idea was proposed to me to put them together to make a quilt for their bed. Soooo, I said yes of course, being the recycler and experimenter that I am. It is backed in this awesome fun fur that is black with red tips. It is a very warm, heavy blanket. At the top of the blanket there is a “his” side and a “her” side. I think it suits them quite well.

I love this quilt… I have been looking around trying to find material or iron on transfers of Metallica, My son’s favorite band is Metallica. That is such a good idea. Great idea. Just wanted to let you know that you did a great job.
