Corinne in roses and gold

by andrea on April 25, 2009

This outfit is fun with it’s puffy sleeves and big full skirt. The sleeves were a scrap of donated fabric I had, a white organza with tiny flocked red roses. The texture of the fabric and the fullness of the sleeves make for a sweet look. The skirt is made from a heavy drapey wool fabric that moves so nice, especially with the crinoline I attached. It used to be a very long skirt, with a tight fitting high waist. I cut this off and added a patterned waist band with a treasure of a gold buckle that I found on the ground a long time ago. It took me a long time to decide what garment deserved to be adorned with this buckle. You can find this skirt at Sew Dandee if you’re interested in buying it.
