Zebras and mesh

by andrea on July 12, 2009

The skirt shown here is one of the few tailored pieces in this collection. It’s a pencil skirt made from a stretch twill in a subdued dark grey zebra print (not quite as loud as a traditional zebra), with a tiny slit in the back, and a super wide red ribbon belt that ties into a bow in the back. The black top has super long sleeves with thumbholes, and a very narrow ribbon threaded through the mesh fabric of the wide neckline, tied in a front bow to keep the sleeves from falling down. The shirt underneath is a turquoise knit halter top with red ties both going around the neck and meeting at the front, making more bows. Red makes such a good contrast with so many different colours. Especially turquioise, grey and black as shown here! So many pretty red bows!
